We have established a permanent area for water play in the garden following our observations of children’s enduring play interests. We have begun to capture some of the investigations they are making while playing with water – how to move it, how it flows, how does it get bubbly.

The Queen’s special birthday has been a topic of conversation at nursery. Here the children are making crowns themselves using willow and natural materials. Think they look very impressive – fit for a queen or king
Second week of forest school and what a change in the weather – looks like Autumn. However the rain just presented the children with different experiences such as noticing how much everything had grown, how big the puddles were and how exciting it is to have a shelter by the fire pit to paint with your own made paintbrushes and have a warming hot chocolate
It was a fabulous day and the children loved being outside the nursery and being able to view it from a different position. They also noticed butterflies and bees and had a go at climbing the trees
