The children have been investigating the flowers that are all around us this week. Take a look at how they are developing their reading skills with a real purpose by finding the photographs of flowers they have collected in the reference books and fans.
They have then glued their special flower into an acorn. When they are dry they will use them to make a necklace
Take a look at the flowers around when you are out walking – if you don’t know the names pop in and use the reference books with the children to find out what they are called. Learning is so much more fun when we all learn together and from each other
The children have noticed how the leaves of the trees are opening up and the flowers appearing.
Take time to notice those changes when you are out and about with your child.
They were also very inventive with the sticks – check out whose house they decided to make – a big clue is that the big bad wolf might come along and blow it down!
