The children continue to show us how important it is to have access to water daily and how water stimulates their exploration and investigation. They are asking the questions what is water, does it change, how does it move, can we move it and what happens when we combine it with other materials. Water is a fantastic resource for deepening young children’s learning and thinking.
Exploring down the lane
The children went exploring down the lane behind nursery today – they met Misty a big white horse and Bluie a little white pony. They enjoyed eating the apples we had taken then we went back to the cabin for our hot chocolate – as it was sooooo cold
Caring for the birds
The children made food for the birds they had spotted last week. It is really important to care for the birds especially in the winter
Watching the birds
The children spotted 5 rooks, 4 sea gulls, 2 magpie, 7 wood pigeons and 2 house sparrows.
Outdoor Explorers get going
The children got ready for their first adventures today – the children thought about keeping themselves safe. They loved the space and freedom – and also the muddy puddles. They can’t wait for next week!
