We love outdoors

The children have continued their interest in caring for the birds and have made bird feeders which the birds have loved!! We are now fascinated watching the 2 robins that have become at home in our garden at Windsor. The children are also spotting the signs of spring appearing – see if you can see them

Governor Feedback (F&GP)

“As we approach the time for budget setting, the governors are very aware of the current financial challenges and are hoping to work with the Local Authority to get through these difficulties with the interest of the children remaining paramount. The budget setting in March by the Government will be crucial to keep Windsor strong into the future.”

Out and About

The weather has been beautiful this week – the children have been out and about noticing the signs of Spring – seeing the pussy willow and catkins, listening for the birds and feeding the robins too. Our 1 robin has now found a friend which we are very excited about! Molly the big horse and Bluie the little pony were out and about too.

Garden bird watch

The children have made bird feeders and have been watching which birds have been coming into the garden. They have been making marks to record which one they have seen.

We have seen 1 buzzard, 2 song thrush, 5 blackbirds, 8 sea gulls, 6 pigeons, 5 sparrows, 10 great tits and our special Windsor robin!

Joy of the outdoors – frost, birdwatching and of course lighting the fire!

Governor Feedback (H&S)

“The health and safety walk around Windsor is always interesting and a learning curve for governors! We are always so reassured when looking through the reporting and actions taken to keep the children and adults safe in such a wide variety of circumstances. We had lots of work done on the building over the summer in order to be the best learning environment for the upcoming academic year.”
